In parallel with its research work into improving standards, LNE is responsible for aligning reference standards with the measuring instruments used by laboratories and manufacturers. This enables companies to ensure their measurements are traceable to national standards and thus to meet the requirements of the ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO/IEC 17025 reference systems.

French accreditation committee COFRAC recognizes the quality of LNE's calibration services and the conformity of its organization to current international and European standards (ISO/IEC 17025). The Laboratory issues COFRAC calibration certificates for most of its calibration services.

If LNE has COFRAC accreditation for the type of calibration or verification carried out, the COFRAC logo appears on the corresponding certificate or verification report.
LNE also issues verification reports for test equipment such as climatic chambers or traction machines. These reports also carry the COFRAC logo if LNE has COFRAC-Essais accreditation for the type of verification performed.
