On 24 October 2007, a cooperation agreement in the legal metrology field was signed by Michael Kühne, member of the Presidential Board of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB, Germany) and Jean-Luc Laurent, managinf director of the Laboratoier Natioanl de Métrologie et d'Essais (LNE, France).

LNE to host international forum on regulations for medical devices in China and Japan - 19 october 2009
The Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d’Essais (LNE) and its G-MED certification division invite manufacturers and distributors of medical devices to attend a one-day forum focusing on regulations covering the Chinese and Japanese medical device markets. The forum will be held at the Maison de la Mécanique in Paris on 10 November 2009.
The aim of the forum is to provide European company directors, regulatory affairs managers, quality managers and Asia export managers with a comprehensive overview of current regulations in each of the two countries.

LNE/G-MED signs recognition agreement with JQA to help medical device manufacturers enter the Japanese market - 2 March 2009
France's Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais (LNE/G-MED) and the Japan Quality Assurance organization (JQA) signed a first recognition agreement on 14 November 2008.

The Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais awards its first research prize - 06 october 2009
A research prize has been created to honour researchers at LNE and at laboratories in the French metrology network. The first such prize was awarded on 29 September 2009, to André Clairon, a research engineer at LNE-SYRTE (Time-Space Reference Systems) at the Observatoire de Paris.
