Brexit: getting ready to put its products on the UK market

The transition period for the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union ends on December 31, 2020. As of January 1, 2021, the European Union and the United Kingdom will be different legal and regulatory areas. This means that the Community regulations that apply to products bearing the CE mark will no longer apply to Great Britain.

Prepare to Brexit

Rules applicable in the UK market

If you are a company involved in the placing of regulated products on the UK market you should therefore prepare for the new applicable provisions.

To help you in this process, LNE, together with its subsidiary GMED, organized a web conference on 24 November on these applicable provisions and the consequences of Brexit on regulated products.

Danny Langley, Deputy Head of Goods Regulation in the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the UK Government, presented the provisions that will apply to UKCA marking, which will come into force at the end of the transition period.

This presentation was followed by a question and answer session that likely addressed questions you may have.
