To meet the expectations of circular economy principles, such as those enshrined in the AGEC law of 10 February 2020 (law on the fight against waste and the circular economy), which aims to increase the use of recycled plastic materials (RPM), LNE in partnership with the industrial technical centre for plastics and composites (IPC) is offering certification.

The « Incorporation of Recycled Plastics materials certification

French plastics manufacturers are committed to incorporating increasing quantities of recycled plastics materials to reach the 20% threshold by 2025. To demonstrate this commitment, which is essential for all players in the sector, LNE offers "Incorporation of Recycled Plastics Materials " certification, based on a set of rules developed in partnership with the industrial technical centre for plastics and composites (IPC).

The "Incorporation of Recycled Plastic Materials" certification rules is made up of two independent parts and, depending on your objectives, enables you to:

  • to verify the declared amounts of RPM tonnage incorporated in a site's annual production (part 1 of the rules)

and/or

  • to validate the the percentage of RPM contained in a product/product range (part 2 of the rules).

    • Plastics converters and composites producers who use RPM from pre-consumer and post-consumer waste.
    • Assembly and thermoforming companies that manufacture products containing RPM from parts supplied by plastic converters and composite producers.

    • The specific quantities of RPM contained in a product / product range
    • Their breakdown by market, material family and origin.

    The characteristic displayed is the percentage of RPM contained in a product / product range.

    Obtain certification 

     The general part of the "Incorporation RPM" certification rules defines :

    • the certification management framework, in particular the scope of application,
    • the requirements to be met by the applicant/titular,
    • the admission and monitoring procedures and the independent contractor .

    The specific requirements are set out in parts 1 and 2:

    • Part 1: Annual RPM tonnage
    • Part 2: % RPM in a product/product range
