France-Québec : LNE and CRIQ sign an agreement to support exports

The Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais (LNE) and the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) signed a collaboration agreement on Wednesday 7 March at the CCI Paris Ile de France.

This agreement will allow French and Québec companies to benefit from CRIQ and LNE resources and expertise related to export issues.

Canadian companies wishing to export their products to European Union countries and European companies wishing to export to Canada must be constantly aware of the rules and procedures related to their products’ exportation. LNE and CRIQ are renewing their commitment to support these companies in order to facilitate the process for companies to accept products intended for exportation to their respective territories.

This agreement will be translated into concrete tests on European standards (CE marking or other more specific standards related to products) as well as training and technical assistance offered to French and Quebec companies.

The CRIQ and the LNE share a common mission, know-how and culture at the service of the industry. They maintain privileged links with key economic development partners, research centers and industry associations. All this places them at the heart of the real needs of companies in terms of innovation, particularly in terms of exportations.

The signing of this agreement is part of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which aims to facilitate exportation between Canada and the European Union.
