Workshop EMUE on the practice of measurement uncertainty evaluation

On 21 and 22 January 2020, LNE is organizing a workshop for national metrology institutes, calibration laboratories and measurement manufacturers on the evaluation of measurement uncertainty in practice.

Workshop EMUE

This workshop will be an opportunity to present the first results of the European EMUE project (Examples of Measurement Uncertainty Evaluation), which aims to provide practical assistance in the assessment of uncertainty and to provide examples to standardization bodies and best practice guides.

It is intended as a forum for discussion in the field of uncertainty evaluation in order to improve its operational aspect.

In the agenda for these two days: conferences and round tables to encourage exchanges between participants. The different methods (Monte Carlo, Bayesian, etc.) will be presented and compared. Practical points such as the correction of systematic errors will be discussed, as well as the topics of declaration of conformity and calibration. The applications will come from various fields: energy, environment, health, etc.

A round table will be organized to discuss the difficulties encountered in the context of accreditation and legal metrology.

The orientations for a future GUM will also be discussed.
