Calibration of temperature measurement instruments

The Laboratory calibrates all temperature measurement instruments across a wide spectrum (from cryogenic temperatures to the hottest readings) with attractive uncertainties that correspond to current "state-of-the-art". LNE's calibration chain and methods deployed facilitate synchronization with the International System of Units (SI) for nearly all instruments tested.

Proposed calibration services

Calibration of:

  • Platinum resistance thermometers
  • Thermoelectric couples
  • Temperature measurement chains (sensor linked to a numerical indicator)
  • Liquid dilatation thermometers
  • Temperature collectors and recorders
  • Temperature indicators and simulators (electrical temperature simulation)
  • Surface temperature sensors.

These services feature some of the best levels of uncertainties appearing on the COFRAC or BIPM website.

Moreover, the laboratory has been accredited to conduct primary and periodic verifications of temperature measurement instruments in the Legal Metrology field (COFRAC 2-2047).

This list is non-exhaustive; please recall that thanks to its intensive R&D activities, the Laboratory is able to address all your problem issues, from the design phase all the way through calibration of your instruments.

Accreditation details

  • COFRAC Accreditation No. 2-02
  • COFRAC Accreditation No. 2-1551
  • COFRAC Accreditation No. 2-2047

Additional services

The additional services provided include adjustment, modeling of calibration results, tabular output and metrological verification; they are conducted upon special request.

Technical accompaniment may be proposed to suit your specific needs.

We are also able to satisfy your technical and practical training needs by making available our various instruction modules (ME10-ME10/2, ME10/3 and ME10/4).

We are well positioned to supervise interlaboratory comparisons with the deployment of proven industry transfer standards.

LNE clients testify
