Certified Reference Gas Mixtures
Certified Reference Gas Mixtures (Certified Reference Materials) in cylinders, for the calibration and validation of analytical methods in the field of gas analysis.
Available for the following compounds: carbon monoxide*, carbon dioxide*, Motor gas (CO, CO₂, C₃H₈), propane*, nitrogen monoxide*, ethanol*, benzene*, toluene*, o-xylene, m-xylene, and p-xylene*, ethylbenzene*, oxygen, nitrous oxide, methane, 1,3-butadiene…
Detailed description
Our reference gas mixtures are produced using the gravimetric method as described in the international standard ISO 6142-1 (Gas analysis—Preparation of gas mixtures for calibration—Part 1: Gravimetric method for Class I mixtures).
The preparation of these reference gas mixtures involves successively introducing each component into a vacuum cylinder and determining the masses of these different components using measurement equipment traceable to the International System of Units.
The molar concentrations are calculated based on the masses of the various introduced components, their purities, and their molar masses. They are then validated by analytical comparison with another gaseous reference material.
Our reference gas mixtures are supplied with a certificate specifying the gravimetric molar concentration and the associated measurement uncertainty of the certified reference material. This certificate guarantees the traceability of molar concentrations to the International System of Units (SI).
Use of Certified Gas Mixtures
These certified gas mixtures can be used for the calibration of gas mixtures and measuring instruments (generators, analyzers, sensor systems, etc.), for the validation of analytical methods, and to ensure the traceability of gas analyses to national standards.
Users of certified gas mixtures
Environmental analysis or occupational exposure laboratories, gas producers, manufacturers, etc., involved in gas analysis.
Packaging and storage
Certified gas mixtures are packaged in 10-liter gas cylinders.
The validity period stated in the certificate depends on the compound(s) in question.
