Mobilize players in the AI field at national level

Complementing the skills and expertise brought together, the methods and tools developed will contribute to the implementation of the obligations set out in the European regulation on AI, and to France's international initiatives in this field. This initiative will mobilize all public research skills (universities, schools, organizations) and, more generally, all players in the AI field at national level.

Signed by Bruno Sportisse and Thomas Grenon, in the presence of the French Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, Marina Ferrari, this strategic partnership has three objectives:

  • To focus research and innovation, including in the most upstream components, on the identification of security risks, and the development of methodologies, protocols and metrics for the evaluation of general-purpose AI models.
  • Develop new tests, and provide test infrastructures to companies and administrations, prioritizing use cases and/or AI systems falling within the scope of the AI Act.
  • Organize a recurring evaluation campaign on an international scale to certify the performance of general-purpose AI models on a number of generic and specific tasks.
