Reference oil for testing kinematic viscosity
Reference oil for testing kinematic viscosity for calibration at temperatures ranging from -40° to 150°C. The relative uncertainty (k=2) depends on the actual dynamic viscosity range*.
Detailed description
To meet the needs of manufacturers for the calibration and verification of rotary or vibration viscometers, consistometric cups and the verification of capillary viscometers, LNE offers reference oils in kinematic viscosity, the calibration of which can be carried out between -40°C and 150°C:
- Calibration at temperatures ranging from 20° to 70°C
- Calibration at temperatures of above 70°C and up to 150°C
- Calibration at temperatures of below 20°C and down to -40°C
Kinematic viscosity is determined by using calibrated capillary viscometers.
*The relative uncertainty (k=2) depends on the actual kinematic viscosity range.
Packaging and storage
The oils are delivered in 500 ml, colored glass flasks with an indication of the kinematic viscosity value expressed in mm2/s for the requested calibration temperature(s).
The oils are delivered with:
- Their safety data sheet
- A COFRAC calibration certificate calibration n°2-43
The oils must be stored in the original bottle, away from heat and light.
