FEFCO/ESBO Certification - International Guide to Good Manufacturing Practice for Corrugated and Solid Board Packaging

Guaranteeing food safety for food manufacturers and retailers

Presentation of the certification

By choosing LNE to certify the hygiene of your packaging, you can be sure :

  • that the packaging is manufactured in accordance with current hygiene regulations;
  • that the packaging manufacturer has been audited;
  • that the codes of good hygiene practice are respected during production and in the production environment;
  • to meet the requirements and expectations of your European and international distribution markets;
  • to benefit from the expertise of a recognised independent certification body.

The European corrugated board industry (FEFCO) and the European solid board industry (ESBO) have drawn up a GMP to define good hygiene and board manufacturing practices. Among other things, the guide defines the critical criteria to be respected: protection of glass elements and lighting, pest control, cleaning plans and procedures, etc.

Obtaining certification

Applications for certification can be sent to the sales department or the project manager.

The certification standards are available from FEFCO (www.fefco.org). These standards define the framework for managing certification, in particular the scope of application, the requirements to be met by the applicant/registrant, the admission and monitoring procedures and the people involved.
