Calibration of linear measurement instruments / graduated standards

Calibrating your measurement devices enables connecting them to the international system of units, while ensuring the traceability of your measurement results. This approach serves to satisfy the requirements of your quality assurance protocol. Our in-house measurement facilities equip us to determine the accuracy of your instruments and standards over a wide range of distances.

Proposed calibration services

  • Calibration of graduated instruments:

Examples include: ruler/straight edge, circumference ruler, graduated ribbon, tape measure.
Determination of the accuracy error for the engraving by means of interferometric comparison.
Measurement range: 0-25 m without delay, 0-200 m with a delay.
Standard uncertainty: (50 µm + 5.10-6.L) to (100 µm + 10.10-6.L), depending on the instrument (k=2).

  • Calibration of graduated rulers:

Measurement of the graduated marking position relative to the original marking.
Measurement range: up to 3,000 mm.
Measurement uncertainty: from (0.2 µm + 0.7.10-6.L) to (7 µm + 3.10-6.L) (k=2).

  • Calibration of glass micrometric objects / rulers:

Measurement of the graduated marking position relative to the original marking.
Measurement range: 1-10 mm.
Measurement uncertainty: from 0.10 µm to 0.25 µm (k=2).

  • Calibration of other types of instruments:

Examples include: tank system, light probe, collapsible cane.
Upon request.
