Implementation of the LNE’s CSR strategy with the environmental requalification of the Trappes site

The summer of 2026 marks the conclusion of the environmental rehabilitation work at the Trappes site, an ambitious project carried out since 2020. This transformation is fully in line with the LNE’s CSR policy, which aims to reconcile environmental performance and quality of life at work for its employees.

A profound transformation for a greener and more sustainable site

By transforming this site, the LNE aligns its own operational practices with its environmental performance evaluation missions, thus affirming its desire to be a concrete example of compliance with the principles of ecological transition.

Far from a simple modernization, the LNE has engaged in a real "renaturation" of its 7-hectare site. The goal was to break with the omnipresence of bitumen and mineral spaces to recreate a living and resilient ecosystem and strengthen biodiversity in industrial settings.

The result is a visible and sustainable metamorphosis with massive greening (planting of 186 new trees and the creation of massifs), responsible lighting to reduce light pollution and optimize energy consumption and finally sustainable water management.

A recognition of our national water management and de-permeabilization model

The high point of this transformation lies in innovative and sustainable management of the water cycle. Recognized for its exemplary approach, the LNE was selected as a pilot site by the Water Agency for its de-permeabilization system on industrial sites. A recognition that goes beyond the sole framework of the LNE and contributes to the construction of a doctrine applicable to other sites in France.

A collaborative project for the benefit of the climate and people

Carried out over six years, this project mobilized a group of experts. The LNE thanks the Agence Babylone (landscape architect), the On agency (for lighting optimization and light pollution reduction), as well as the companies Espace Deco, Terideal, Bouygues Energie Service and Arcamzo.
