NF Medical Mark- Medical beds, lifts and mattresses for medical use

Certification Overview

The NF Medical mark certifies that the products it covers:

• have characteristics that comply with French and European standards and additional specifications and the essential requirements of the amended European Directive 93/42/EEC on medical devices,
• come from a manufacture whose quality is controlled in accordance with the provisions described in the NF Medical certification rules - Medical beds, patient lifts and mattresses for medical use (part 2),
• are intended for medical use (and therefore fall within the scope of Directive 93/42/EEC as amended), either in a medical environment (care services) or following a medical prescription for home use, and are therefore constructed, as far as medical beds are concerned, with devices specific to care, in particular accessory holders.

The application environments are those defined in the NF EN 60601-2-52 standard.
