Calibration of remote measurement systems and translation

Calibrating your measurement instruments enables connecting them to the international system of units, while ensuring the traceability of your measurement results. This approach serves to satisfy the requirements of your quality assurance protocol.

Proposed calibration services

  • Calibration of laser interferometers:

- Wavelength determination in comparison with a stabilized laser source on a saturated iodine absorption ray / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = 3.10-9 µm (3 fm) (k=2)

- Estimation of measurement uncertainty over 3 m with a 500-mm interval / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = (0.15 µm + 0.1. 10-6.L) (k=2)

- Calibration of weather sensors 
7-point pressure probe between 880 and 1,030 hPa / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = 0.3 hPa (k=2)
3-point temperature probes: 15°, 20°, 30 °C with readjustment* of material probes should the accuracy error exceed 0.03 °C / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = 0.15°C (k=2)
* only if technically possible and if documentation has been furnished.

  • Calibration of laser distance meters:

Determination of the accuracy error by means of interferometric comparison
Measurement range: 0-25 m
Standard uncertainty: (1.2 mm +2.10-6.L) for a resolution of 1 mm (k=2)

  • Calibration of electronic displacement sensors:

Determination of the indication error by means of interferometric comparison
In accordance with Standard NF E 11-068 (12/1992)
Standard uncertainty: 0.2 to 0.9 µm depending on the resolution and stroke (k=2)

  • Calibration of wired sensors:

Determination of the accuracy error by means of interferometric comparison
Standard uncertainty: depending on the instrument

  • Calibration of measurement columns:

Determination of the accuracy error on the vertical axis by comparison with a laser interferometer
Determination of the perpendicularity offset
Optimal uncertainty: 0.2 µm + 2.5.10-6.L (k=2)

Additional services

For a laser interferometer:

  • Calibration of the angle option on ±15°, measurement of the center-to-center distance between trihedra / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = 0.4 µm (manufacturer: HP) or 0.5 µm (manufacturer: RENISHAW) (k=2)
  • Calibration of the straightness option (short or long) / Optimal measurement uncertainty: U = 0.2 µm (k=2).
