Calibration of standards displaying a diameter (fixed-dimension standards)

Calibrating your measurement instruments enables connecting them to the international system of units, while ensuring the traceability of your measurements. This approach serves to satisfy the requirements of your quality assurance protocol. The scope of our COFRAC accreditation equips us to measure your standards and gauges displaying a diameter.

Proposed calibration services

Diameter measurement by means of interferometric, mechanical or optical comparison

  • Calibration of smooth cylindrical rings and buffers:

Carried out in accordance with Standard NF E 11-011 (12/1992)
Measurement range: 1 - 350 mm
Standard uncertainty: (0.1 µm + 0.3.10-6.D) to (1 µm + 2.10-6.D), depending on the method used (k=2).

  • Calibration of spheres:

Measurement range: 3 - 50 mm
Standard uncertainty: (0.2 µm + 0.3.10-6.D) to (1 µm + 1.5.10-6.D), depending on the method used (k=2).

  • Calibration of measuring rods:

Measurement range: 0.1 - 25 mm
Standard uncertainty: 0.2 µm to 1.3 µm, depending on the method used (k=2).

Accreditation details

  • COFRAC Accreditation No. 2-35 (Paris site) and No. 2-1446 (Nîmes site)

Additional services

Measurement of shape deviations (both roundness and straightness deviations).
