Calibration of measuring instruments with variable dimensions

The calibration of your measuring instruments allows you to connect them to the international system of units and to ensure the traceability of your measurements. This approach allows you to meet the requirements of your quality system. Our COFRAC accreditation scope allows us to determine the accuracy of a wide range of measuring instruments with variable dimensions.

Proposed calibration services

  • Calibration of external micrometers:

Determination of the error of indication full touch in 6 points and the error of indication in partial contact up to 300 mm. According to NF E 11-095 standard .
Calibration of pins and extensions possible
Measuring range : 10-2 000 mm

  • Calibration of internal measurement devices:

Examples: internal micrometer fitted with a spout, alesometer, subito tester, quick feeler.
Determination of the indication error.
Carried out in accordance with Standards NF E 11-090 - NF E 11-099.
Measurement range and uncertainty dependent on the type of instrument.

  • Calibration of calipers:

Determination of the full contact indication error and limited surface indication error.
Carried out in accordance with Standard NF E 11-091.
Measurement range: 10-2,000 mm.

  • Calibration of displacement sensors and wired sensors:

Determination of the indication error by means of interferometric comparison.
Carried out in accordance with Standard NF E 11-068.

  • Calibration of measurement columns:

Determination of the accuracy error on the vertical axis in comparison with a laser interferometer.
Determination of the perpendicularity offset.
Optimal uncertainty: 0.2 µm + 2.5.10-6.L.

  • Calibration of micrometric thrust bearings:

Determination of the indication error by means of mechanical or interferometric comparison.
Measurement range: 10-100 mm.

  • Calibration of depth gauges:

Determination of the indication error.
Carried out in accordance with Standards NF E 11-096 and NF E 11-097
Measurement range: 10-2,000 mm.

  • Calibration of 2-button micrometric gauges:

Determination of the indication error. Carried out in accordance with Standard XP E 11-098.
Measurement range: 10-400 mm or > 400 mm (Unimaster).

  • Calibration of surface gauges:

Determination of the indication error on metrological marble specimens fitted with standard blocks.

NEW :

LNE is the only laboratory in France with FLEX3 flexible range accreditation for all types of electrical displacement transducers. This means you can benefit from Cofrac* accredited calibration for

- Your measurement chains related to specific measurement benches, whatever the type of displacement transducer (optoelectronic transducers, wire transducers, capacitive transducers, LVDT and potentiometric transducers...)

- Your sensors, often associated with electronic systems that cannot be disassembled in their entirety, and which require calibration on their current output (4-20mA), voltage (0-10V...) or on their output in length unit (mm, µm...).

Thus, you benefit from an optimal uncertainty of measurement, and answer a requirement more and more widespread within the laboratories of tests, themselves accredited.

These calibrations allow you to go much further in processing the values, with LNE providing a linearization polynomial of order 1, 2 or 3 or more in order to convert the sensor's electrical output signal into micrometers of displacement with the lowest possible error residuals.

Means and equipment

LNE has several reference calibration benches in a perfectly controlled climatic environment with very high stability, enabling it to obtain a very wide range of calibration measurements:
