CAsoft: new risk calculation software
As part of the EMPIR 17SIP05 CAsoft project, LNE, together with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL - United Kingdom) and the Research Institute of Sweden (RISE - Sweden), created the CASoft software, dedicated to risk calculations by making them accessible through a simplified user interface.
A software to quantify risks
From the aerospace industry to the health and energy sectors, measuring and testing instruments are constantly being used to evaluate systems and products. But to ensure confidence in these instruments, a robust assessment of their performance and associated levels of uncertainty is necessary. Moreover, the revision of the NF ISO 17025 standard in 2017 now requires that the decision rule applied when writing a report or a certificate be explained in advance with the customer.
Available free of charge, CAsoft software enables users to quantify the risk of making the wrong decision when attesting to compliance, leading to reduced manufacturing costs and improved product safety.
