Measurement and standardization workshop for new R&D projects

Join the October 10th 2017 workshop dedicated to promoting research projects in the measurement field

Every year through 2020, EURAMET, the European Association of Metrology Institutes, issues a call for projects dedicated to normative research*.

The objective behind these projects is to consolidate the capacity of standardization groups to develop or improve on the measurement techniques defined in existing or future normative benchmarks, through energizing cooperation between metrology institutes and standardization groups.

Such cooperation will lead these entities to jointly devise research projects in the aim of addressing top-priority challenges in the measurement field.

To stimulate exchanges and discussions between these two communities, EURAMET and the European Standardization Committee (CEN-CENELEC) have organized a free workshop to be held at the CEN-CENELEC offices in Brussels on October 10th 2017, entitled "From Metrological Research to Standardization", in order to effectively prepare the 2018 call for projects.

The goal of this workshop is threefold: disseminate the call for project process, provide a tangible account of successful projects, and offer a forum where standardization experts and metrologists can meet to develop topics of common interest.

LNE, already an established presence in 6 of the 12 selected normative projects (covering the 2 previous calls for projects), will co-preside this workshop alongside CEN-CENELEC.

Registration must be submitted before September 29th 2017 to research@cencenelec.eu
