In order to be placed on the market, evidential breath analyzers and breath alcohol test devices must comply with normative and regulatory requirements. Reference materials enable you to calibrate and check your bench, and to control and validate your production. LNE offers two ranges of reference materials of Ethanol/Water solutions, a certified range and a standard range.
Ethanol/Water solutions available for sale
Our reference solutions are available in two ranges depending on the final use:
- Certified Reference Material of Ethanol/Water solutions (CRM) for the calibration and verification of your bench or the production control. They cover a wide concentration range from 0.1286 g/L to 7.719 g/L with extended uncertainties from 0.0021 g/L to 0.052 g/L.
- Ethanol/Water solutions (MR) for the control and verification of the production. They cover a concentration range from 0.1930 g/L to 5.146 g/L with expanded uncertainties from 0.0026 g/L to 0.041 g/L.

All introduced components of our Ethanol/Water solutions are determined by means of measuring devices traceable to the International System (SI).
Certified Reference Material of Ethanol/Water solutions (CRM)
Our certified solutions, Certified Reference Materials (CRM), are produced by volumetric method by mixing a mass of ethanol in deionized water. The concentration of the reference material is validated by analytical method (by chromatography).
They are delivered with a COFRAC certificate specifying the concentration and the associated uncertainty of the CRM.
LNE is accredited by COFRAC to manufacture CRMs according to the international standard NF EN ISO 17034 - General requirements for the competence of reference material producers

These certified solutions can be used for the calibration, verification or production control of evidential breath analyzers and breath alcohol test devices.
Characteristics of the certified solutions (MRC)
Ethanol/Water solutions (RM)
Our reference solutions, reference materials (RM), are produced gravimetrically by mixing a mass of ethanol in deionized water. The concentration of the reference material is validated by comparison with a reference solution.
They are delivered with a calibration certificate specifying the concentration and the associated uncertainty of the RM.
Use of Ethanol/Water solutions (RM)
These solutions can be used for the production control of evidential breath analyzers and breath alcohol test devices.
