Guaranteeing food safety for food manufacturers and retailers
Presentation of the certification
By choosing LNE to certify the hygiene of your packaging, you can be sure :
-
that the packaging is manufactured in accordance with current hygiene regulations;
-
that the packaging manufacturer has been audited;
-
that the codes of good hygiene practice are respected during production and in the production environment;
-
to meet the requirements and expectations of your European and international distribution markets;
-
to benefit from the expertise of a recognised independent certification body.
The BRCGS/Packaging standard (formerly BRC/IoP) has the advantage of being applicable to all types of packaging (paper and cardboard, metal, glass, plastics, wood, etc.) and of being adjustable according to the risk to be covered (high or low hygiene risk). This internationally recognised certification is based on a set of standards detailing the measures to be put in place to ensure that a product complies with regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practice.
Obtaining certification
Applications for certification can be sent to the sales department or to the project manager.
The certification standards are available from the BRC (www.brcglobalstandards.com). These standards define the certification management framework, in particular the scope of application, the requirements to be met by the applicant/registrant, the admission and surveillance procedures and the parties involved.
