Vibrations, shocks and constant acceleration

Vibration, shock and constant acceleration tests are part of environmental testing used to assess the reliability, endurance and accelerated ageing of products from various sectors such as defence, energy, aeronautics, and railways. These tests evaluate the mechanical behaviour of products under normal or intensified usage conditions. They are integrated into comprehensive equipment qualification and characterisation programmes, alongside EMC, climatic and electrical tests.

These tests are used to assess the mechanical behaviour of products under normal or aggravated usage conditions. They are integrated into comprehensive qualification and characterisation programmes, alongside EMC, climatic, and electrical testing.

Available services

LNE offers a wide range of mechanical tests to evaluate the resistance of your equipment when subjected to demanding vibrational environments.

Among our services, we offer COFRAC-accredited* or specific tests such as:

  • Sine and random vibration tests (COFRAC*)
  • Shock tests (half-sine, trapezoidal, SRC, etc.) (COFRAC*)
  • Combined climatic and vibration tests (hot, cold, humidity, VRT) (COFRAC*)
  • Constant acceleration tests
  • Consulting, expertise, and technical support
New generation vibration shaker

To better meet your testing needs, LNE has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of a next-generation 125 kN electrodynamic vibration shaker. Thanks to its unique modularity on the market, it can test all types of products, from lightweight items to large-scale equipment.

Key technical specifications of our new shaker system:

  • Force: 125 kN in sine/random mode and up to 375 kN in shock mode
  • Acceleration: up to 200 g (3.5 m/s max)
  • Maximum displacement: 4” (100 mm)
  • Two table sizes available: 900 × 900 mm and 1,400 × 1,400 mm (with guided head expander)
